Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Loopjet LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the iambusy platform ("Service"). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and handling your data transparently.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We connect to your calendars via iCal feed URLs and do not collect or store calendar provider passwords.
Calendar Data
To provide synchronization, we access calendar event metadata (titles, times, attendees, and status) from your connected calendars through iCal feed URLs. iCal feeds are read-only by design, providing only the access required for the Service to function.
Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage data such as page views, feature interactions, and error logs to improve the Service. This data does not include calendar event content.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Synchronize calendar availability across your connected accounts
- Create and manage busy blockers based on your configured sync rules
- Power booking link availability checks
- Process subscription payments and manage your account
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
- Improve the reliability and performance of the Service
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or calendar information with advertisers or data brokers.
3. Calendar Data Handling
Privacy is central to how iambusy works. You have full control over what information is synchronized between calendars:
- Busy-only blockers: Sync only free/busy status without revealing event details
- Partial details: Share limited event information based on your preferences
- Full sync: Mirror complete event details between calendars
Calendar data is processed in transit to perform synchronization. We minimize the event metadata we store and do not retain event content beyond what is necessary for the Service to operate.
4. Data Security
We protect your data through multiple measures:
- iCal feeds: We access calendars via read-only iCal feed URLs and never see or store your passwords
- Read-only access: iCal feeds provide only the calendar data necessary for synchronization
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS
- Infrastructure: The Service runs on secure, managed infrastructure with access controls and monitoring
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
- Your calendar providers: Calendar data access for synchronization via iCal feeds
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Supabase: Application infrastructure and data storage
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data. We encourage you to review their policies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and sync configuration for as long as your account is active. Calendar event metadata used for synchronization is processed transiently and not stored long-term.
When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, stored iCal feed URLs, and sync configurations. Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Object to certain types of data processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@iambusy.io. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics data is collected through first-party mechanisms and does not involve cross-site tracking.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
